Merlin/Metro – Tailgating Incident

This freighter was on the taxiway at Denver International Airport waiting for ground clearance when another aircraft taxied into it, slicing away the tail section. Straight Flight relocated this aircraft by semi-truck, flatbed trailer with the wings attached driving down local highways. After arriving at Centennial Airport we removed the tail structure and installed a serviceable tail at the factory splice.
